The other day I had a little time before dinner to really dial in some makeup and thought it would be fun record it and share. It’s a soft, flirty look that transitions perfectly from day or night.
I thoroughly enjoy shopping for makeup, watching makeup tutorials, playing in makeup and coming up with pretty, feminine, “new” looks. To me, wearing makeup is a form of expression and creativity, just like painting, music or anything that requires skill and imagination. I don’t believe I need it wear it to be beautiful, but I can say it does put a little more of a pep in my step when I enhance my look.

I hope you like it!
I’m springing into color and leaving winter grays behind with these pretty pretties! I am so excited to have new colors to add to my very humble lippy collection. What better time to dive into pretty pinks and reds than right now? It really feels like spring down here in Dallas, plus colorful anything is a real pick-me-up whenever I need a boost of happiness or energy.
If you want to take a peek at what I chose I shot a fun video review on colors from Revlon, NYX and Kate. You can watch it here:
For the last year and a half I have been noticing that I have a growing attraction to all things gold, so when these little pretties caught my eye I could not resist. I found them at Target, they’re limited edition Sonia Kashuk.
They aren’t as soft to the touch as I prefer my brushes to be, but the real test will happen during my makeup application. I can’t wait to try them! I will keep you guys posted.
